Tomorrow is a library day, please don't forget to pack your books.
We had a great morning at the Apple Store. Thank you again to all the volunteers who helped out, your time and help its greatly appreciated.
Upon arrival at school, Madame Moreau came by to do some multiplication practice. We also read a short story called Little Red Riding Sheep. In French, we started to write reviews for our favourite books/movies. We will continue to work on these this week.
Our GOTD involved a hyper intelligent man, known as a savant, who explained how amazingly different his brain is. He was able to learn Icelandic in a week and have an interview on national television and he is also able to see colours, shapes and textures while working with numbers. He was even able to memorize Pi up to 22,000 places just by looking at the numbers once. Incredible!
Daniel has Aspergers Syndrome, which led to a class discuss on autism and how that might manifest itself in other people. We discussed the importance of being kind and accepting to those who are different to us. I am certainly very jealous of Daniel's amazing brain. The video can be found here.
I will email the audiobooks we did today at the Apple Store. We are in need of 2 more volunteers for Pysanky on Monday the 24th between 10:00- and 11:25. I have scheduled an email to be sent out tomorrow morning regarding this. I already have 3 volunteers : LJ, PC, SL.
