Today I read the book Shin-Chi's Canoe and we spoke about residential schools and why Orange T-shirt Day is important.

We had gym with M.Trevor and learnt a new math with Madame April. In science we began looking at how different types of rocks are formed and what their uses are. In current events in science, we split into 2 groups and chose different articles which we will present on Friday. One articles was about recycling electronics and a car that walks.

Tomorrow I need to bring in my 2 photos for social studies : one photo of someone who has had a big impact on my life and a photo of a place that I have been to that is special to me. I also need to bring in a object that has special meaning to me. I will check these three things with my parents before bringing them to school.

Ask me:
What are the three different types of rock and how are they formed?
Can anything live around underwater volcanoes?
What were residential schools like? What impact did they have on First Nation languages, culture and traditions?
