Today in ELA, we used story cubes to inspire us to write short stories and illustrate them. Ask me what I rolled and how I could have continued the story.
In science, we discussed what I know about rocks and minerals, what I would like to know, and what I have learned so far. I'll tell you two interesting facts.
M. Richardson would like me to write a short letter in French introducing myself to him. (We went over in class what kinds of things I could write such as likes and dislikes, what community I live in, pets, favorite books/games/films, etc.). Students can write as much as they feel comfortable to share. Students are asked to please bring the letters to school by Friday.
On Friday, I need to dress warmly for the weather for the Terry Fox Run (in layers and in safe outdoor shoes to run in rather than winter boots or rain boots). If it is snowing or raining lightly, we are still running outside. (If weather is unsafe, we will be inside.) I also need to bring a pair of dry socks to change into afterwards.
