March 12

We started the day finishing our math work through various stations such as playing tic-tac-toe multiplication, creating small guides explaining the equal grouping strategy for multiplication. Just before music, we read a story called 'Le prince et le chevalier'.

After music, we had a practise session for Sound Kreations. Please be aware that due to COVID-19 concerns, the performance has been cancelled. More information regarding the performance shall be provided in due course.

After PE, we had a GOTD in which we looked at how English sounded 500 years ago. It was really strange to our ears at first, but we were able to pick out Spanish, French and Latin sounding words. We looked at how spelling has shifted since then such as I replacing Y.

We then worked on a reading comprehension texts on squirrels, butterflies and hummingbirds. In the afternoon we worked on finishing our English poems and as a class we wrote an acrostic poem on the board. Those that had finished their English poems, worked on creating their own acrostic poem in French.

Just a reminder that tomorrow we will have a short quiz on the spelling words posted last Friday on blogger.
